although I fear the map may be wrong about Chile. Yes, Bachelet has a lead, but recently that doesn't look so great for her.
Polls show that she'll win the first round, but Piñera is in the lead for the 2nd (and deciding) round.
The Chilean paradox: 2nd place wins the presidency. It's by no means a certain thing, and I do still have hope the la Bachelet will take this--but Chilean men seem pretty worried about a female leader. Half think she's totally "incapaz" and the other half thinks "la van a manipular" because she's a woman. And then everyone forgets that Piñera is not a moderate candidate--he's just a smidge more toward the center than Lavín/Pinochet...
Anyway, the race is not nearly as cut and dry as it seemed 6 months ago and Bachelet is steadily losing ground...pobre chile. Parece ke no saben pa donde va la micro.
